Wood 'n Stones is an innovative rogue-like survival game set in the Stone Age.

While dinosaurs and other evil creatures pose a danger to the future of human kind, you can be the leader who will allow our species to survive to the present day, thanks to the help of a great friend, a puppy and all the people that you'll save during the journey.

You can gather Wood and Stones to help out your tribe defending yourself and them, and build campfires to better protect your way. But beware: the weather can change at any time.

How to play Wood 'n Stones

Wood 'n Stones looks like a very simple game, but it's really not. There are a few things to know in order to win the game, those are explained also in the "HOW TO PLAY" section in the main menu, below the commands.

Build campfires

In a flat, large enough clean area, with enough Wood 'n Stones, the alpha-caveman can build a campfire. Of course, only if it doesn't rain. Remember that each campfire consumes wood from your inventory: when you run out of wood, campfires will start vanishing.

Caveman wepons

With a campfire, cavemen can burn wood to obtain torches. It's very useful againt the enemy creatures. When it rains, they will fall back to using stones. Make sure that they always have what they need and they will fight next to you, often doing most of the job.

Caves and nests

Enemies spawn from the green nests: building a campfire close to them will prevent that. The same can be done with the grey caves: a campfire will secure them and, this way, you can rescue new tribe members who will join you in the journey.

Magic apples

Magic apples can be gathered from trees: you will be eating a fruit to save your life every time it's needed, or you can also share them when somebody is in a really difficult situation. But most of the time you will try to save them for your puppy, since cavemen can recover energy by picking up vegetables.

Grow your puppy

Feed your puppy with apples: it will grow stronger, to help you out. Once it is big enough, it will be the most valuable member of your tribe.

(un)friendly birds

Birds are worried. They blame humans for all the bad things, so they are upset with you. Solve the mystery quest to make them happy again, and they will stop acting so much passive-aggressive.
